kyn's hair is starting to grow fast and faster these days and with all this growth comes funky styles..todays style is looking like bob's big boy/alfalfa??

A well deserved vacation!

we had so much fun and so saw many things...memorable it was! after spending 5 days 4 nights in mexico there is nothing sweeter than home sweet home! it was HOT..but the temperature of the water made up for it..when we went last year it was waaaayyyy too cold to enjoy it, and this year you couldnt keep us out of it! the girls had as much fun as a 5 month olds can have in mexico but, they were so good.. and cooper, kortlyn, and cannen had so much fun and were the best kids! we visited the market and picked up some things for the kids, we went to the "aquario" (more about that later), we did lots of snorkeling, we collected lots of shells, and we ate at flavios(and i actually ate this year)... but most of all we enjoyed good company and soaked up the hot mexico sun!

this is our view from the house we stayed in, it is a private beach so there was no one around except for a couple of people staying in the house next to us..this is what it looked like all day everyday...not a soul in sight!

the girls spent the entire trip in just a diaper..why bother with clothes when they are so stinkin cute nakey!

we also found the "aquario"..some might call this an aquarium, but i call it animal abuse! and i wont go into detail or give a long drawn out story to bore you to death, but lets just say in mexico they have different standards on taking care of animals than we do in the united states! the kids had fun, here are the pictures!

we did ALOT of snorkeling, cooper did awesome.. geoff and i took him out at the reef and he was snorkeling with us in water that was 4 times his height, and he wasn't scared one bit! he saw some really cool stuff and i asked him if he was going to tell all his friends about it and he said "no they wont believe me!"

while snorkeling we found lots of hermit crabs, lots sting ray, all kinds of different fish and one octopus having babies(im not kidding) geoff found an octopus in a shell and when we opened it up it had all these babies it was really cool and we took turns touching it and letting it suck our fingers with its tentacles! it was so neat kinda like nemo in real life!

The BIG three oh!!

Happy Birthday BABE!!! Today Geoff turns 30..eeeks hes old! Im totally kidding he will be old tomorrow! Anyway I threw him one heck of a surprise party on Saturday night, he had no clue..I do think I deserve an academy award for my acting skillz all week! My mom came down which really helped with the surprise factor because when my mom comes we just really shop til'we drop so it wasn't anything out of the ordinary for me to be running with my mom all weekend! Thanks to Nani and Justin for letting me cover your counter with dough twice and storing some of the dinner supplies in your fridge and for getting the birthday boy out of the house for 3 hours and then having him returned promptly at 6 o'clock! Thanks to moga for being so sneaky about coming down without him knowing and bringing ice and drinks and transformer decor! Thanks to Sheesh for "birt"day(im j/k) cupcakes for the kids! Thanks to everyone who came and parked down the street so he wouldn't know! Thanks to the BIRTHDAY BOY for making salsa at your own party because dinner would not be complete without it The guest list included, Moga, Sheesh and Cannen, Mammy, Jani and Justin, Jake Hay and Family, Jason Janna and Allie, Beau Lewis, the kids and myself! Some of the festivities including navajo tacos(per his request) with salsa, presents he got everything he wanted a golf club from Nani, Justin and Moga and a watch from his children so he will know what time his tee time is! And I will leave what I got him to the imagination...we had cake he wanted key lime cheesecake (which is not easy to find) and yes we put 30 candles on his it..almost burnt the house down but we couldn't help ourselves!

Ok so short candles and tall candles don't necessarily work well together on the same cake because the short candles will melt the tall candles before the tall candles have a chance to melt themselves...then the tall candles will fall over and drip wax all over the cake, you, the floor,and the table...its just a bad idea!

We ended our night with some rock band..which unfortunately I did not get any pictures of because it was like 10:30 and one of my girls was still not sleeping and she was not happy about that either!

We also had ballons blown up and all over the floor and the kids gathered them up and discovered when the a/c is on they have a really fun game...

Over all it was a great night and to see the smile on Geoffs face was a good feeling, because he deserves it! Happy Birthday ya old fart I love you:)

Baba olympics

at our house the girls have a ritual at night we call it "bath time, baba time, bedtime too", so tonight we were at the dinner table and i told the kids after dinner its bath time(meaning for them to take their showers) and geoff chimed in with "then we will give you your babas and you can go to bed!" so that started the begging of "can i please have a bottle " from both coop and roo..and that lead too us making bets they could not drink a bottle as fast the girls, and then the race was on!!!

rules: drink 8oz of milk without squeezing liner or biting nipple, you may take a break to catch your breath or burp..but you must drink baba untill its gone!

TEN MINUTES LATER...............................

kortlyn finished her 4oz baba, but wasnt willing to go for round two in order to complete 8oz's

team chubby twinners, didnt feel like putting their best foot forward and grew tired of the babas tonight they finished 6oz!

AND OUR WINNER IS...

COOPER!! he completed 7oz, he did a fantastic job and when asked what he will buy with his money, he said "im going to save it!"

Beauty has a price

kortlyn is always telling me how she wants those long curls those beautiful women have on the hair dye commercials..so i told her she too could have a curly mane! well she was kinda sceptical about sleeping on these rollers...but if you are tired enough i guess it doesn't matter too much! i wont tell you the story about when i tried sponge curlers(you know the pink ones our mothers did to us when we were young) to this girl about the age of two and she barely had enough hair...and when she woke up the next morning she had an afro! it was REALLY funny:)
