Surely the cutest I've seen!

Today I was teaching Kyn how to make a cute face, like Shirly Temple. I had way too much fun with this because her faces are priceless..nowhere near Shirly...but surely just as cute! I was trying to achieve a look some where between this face...

and this one..two of her most classic poses..
So this is what we ended up with..and yes that is cheeto all over her face..

This one makes me laugh the hardest..it just kills me! She is just too much..TOO MUCH!

Bye, have a good day!

Everyday we walk Coop and Roo outside to their bikes and say bye..as they head off to school. I give both of them a kiss, then they kiss the girls and we say, "bye, have a good day..love you!" We (as in the girls and myself) watch them ride down the street until we can't see them anymore. This is the exact way we do it every morning. The girls like to pretend they are leaving too..they don't have a clue where the kids are going or why..they just wanna go! It is natural I guess..they copy everything the kids do.. picking noses, yelling, playing..the little mimics repeat everything the kids say and do. Cooper and Kortlyn think its fun at times and then at other times it makes them a little crazy. All summer long the girls have been practicing their balance when riding on the scooters, waiting for the school year to begin. They would say.."bye, love you..have a good day!" as they would ride down the side walk.

So when I walked the kids out this morning..my two little mimics were not far behind..Kynlee with her duck back pack in tow and her undies on inside out, Kaylee with a shirt and no undies on at all, they grab their scooters and attempt to hit the road! They gave me my kiss..said what they say..and off they went. They went as far as two houses down and then returned for a snack..

They are definately better together..

I just love these old videos of the girls..they were 1 year and couple months..and so cute. I have never posted them and found them deep in my computer, dusty and needing to bring a smile to my face. It's cute to watch them kiss each other instead of biting each other!

not in my pants..in my honey!

I have ant problem..its only a minor problem. Considering they are pretty much confined to one shelf in my pantry. I have noticed them the last couple of days and chose to blame it on the rain. We have really only had two good pours all summer but still..its a reasonable excuse. So for the last couple of days..every time I would find myself needing something from the pantry..I would see the ants, get a little bugged out and start going on this killing spree. Once I have killed them all, I would feel safe enough to close the pantry after retrieving what I was in there to get in the first place. But upon every return I would find a few more..and I started throwing away boxes of cereal, or bags of chips, anything that was open. UNTIL..this morning! I was needing some oil..for our breakfast. I open the door into the pantry and was horrified by the mass number of ants..they had literally tripled or quadrupled over night..with a minor panic attack, I calmed myself and began to search for their source of calling..what do they want! I had nothing left..it was strange they were only roaming the one shelf, centrally located in the pantry, third from the bottom and third from the top. I found the few strays here and there..clearly lost and searching for the mother load! My eyes spotted lots and lots in one corner of the shelf and when I moved the unopened box of pasta..I see it! The ants scatter like roaches, so fast in every direction..I couldn't kill them fast enough..I started to panic again..HELLLPPPP! I calm myself again..and see that my cute little bear shaped jar of honey was left open, the pop top just slightly ajar. There is a thick layer of dead ants inside..the ones who were smart and survived the mass suicide were still fleeing and I was trying to kill them and remove the honey graveyard from my pantry. I am positive now, finding the golden glory they were after and removing it from my home we should be ant free..crossing my fingers.
