TIME OUT..!
Some people may think..they are still too little for time outs. But they aren't to little to have a premeditated plan, and follow through when they know, they shouldn't! So my thought is, you do the crime, you can do the... time-out! So lately I have noticed the girls, conjuring up these plans, while speaking the language no one else understands. They typically will get a couple of warnings like, "_____(insert name here), PLEASE DON'T DO THAT!!" and so on. So that leads to them giggling, running as fast as their little chubby legs can carry them, drop to the floor and start crying, or stare me down like they know what I'm saying, but pretend they can't understand! So therefor we have the TIME OUT!
So far, I think its working..besides the fact that they want to share it and hug each other to make them feel better. It almost breaks my heart to watch them, I can't help but giggle a little. I tried to take a picture of them sharing timeout, but my camera batteries were dead..so maybe another time..I'm sure we will have plenty of opportunities.

Now don't get me wrong..my children can also make me want to pull my hair out, and make me scream or want to run far, far away just so I can have a moment to myself...to think, or read or use the restroom or just whatever I need at that given moment!
I wanted to write down, for myself and not really anyone else..just who they are, what their personalities are like and why I am in love or losing my mind over them! Because with my day in and day out routines I don't want to forget.
Cooper 8: Is my first born, which naturally makes him a leader..or the boss(how ever you look at it) He takes charge. He is smart. He is kind and somewhat of a caregiver..he finds it enjoyable to take care of people. He has a soft heart and can be easily hurt. He is good at what he does..be it video games, sports, or tricks on the scooter and his bike. He can have a bit of a temper..that he wants people to believe is scary and out of control, but we know he could never hurt a fly. Not because he can't, but because he won't. He is a talker and enjoys conversations, with anyone who will listen. He wants to appear much older than he actually is. He is somewhat of a ladies man and kind of a flirt. He can be argumentative, and always wants to be right. He makes friends very easily. He loves to read, and is a bit of book collector. He is somewhat of a hoarder and collects things and wants to save them forever such as: rocks, nails, scrap pieces of broken tile, wood, broken pencils, bottle caps, soda pop tabs and so on. He loves his mom and is not afraid to scream I LOVE YOU in front of his friends on the play ground. He is an independent person and strives to figure things out on his own. He is very artistic and enjoys drawing. He was my first love and he has a special place in my heart.
Kortlyn 6: Is next in line. She is shy and can be quiet when meeting new people. She is sure to follow rules and prides herself for following them. She believes she can teach her friends how to follow rules too. She tries to lead by example. She is boastful, and knows how beautiful she really is. She lives in somewhat of a fantasy land from time to time, she is sad when friends don't compliment her daily. She a bit dramatic with her emotions. She is less outgoing, and is not one to make a new friend every where she goes, but when she does that friend becomes her best friend not matter what and is always in her thoughts. She is very intelligent, and amazes me everyday with what she knows. She has a great memory. She is left handed. She enjoys fashion and always wants to be "fancy"everyday. She loves her sisters and wants to be a mommy someday so she gets good practice around here. She does not like confrontation, and will do anything to avoid it. She is a good sharer. She has a big heart and compassionate to others. She is a tidy person and likes her space clean. She enjoys practicing conversations in the mirror(which i think is super cute). She enjoys watching TV. She strives to make people happy. She will compliment everyone and also expects one in return. She can always find something nice to say about everyone. She can be a bit of a storyteller, she says she" likes to joke"!! She is beautiful and is my best girlfriend, I cherish her and our relationship always.
Kyn 16 months: She is sweet as pie. She is my most outgoing twin, she is always laughing or trying to make you laugh. She finds humor in everything. I like to tell people she cries with a smile on her face. She is going to be my "class clown". She is a lover and would cuddle all day if you let her. She is not aggressive. She can be defensive when she needs too, but mostly she takes whatever Kaylee gives her. She is not much of talker yet. She is a thinker and likes to figure things out, she is going to be the brains of the operation! She likes to manhandle everything, by trying to lift things that 3 times her size. She enjoys her food, she is messy eater. She has a kind heart, and is quick to give a hug or kiss when you ask or when someone is crying. If she hurts you, it hurts her too and she very apologetic in her own way. She is very excitable. She loves her siblings. She is a fighter and strong, she had to fight hard to stay on this earth..She makes me grateful for life and I treasure everyday I have with her, I love her more and more everyday.
Kay 16 months: She can be shy and reserved. Other times she is most vocal..I call her my walking talking foreign film..without subtitles. She is not much of a cuddler unless she is tired or not feeling well. She is always super busy. She will easily become your best friend and melt your heart if you take the time to play with her. She is smart and figures things out quickly. She reaches milestones first. She is a copycat, and imitates her siblings. She can be a bit dramatic with her emotions. She wants to be the center of your attention. She likes to sing songs that have had motions. She was not the first born of the two but she sure acts like it, she is a little bossy. She can be a little aggressive(she likes to bite). She has a soft heart and usually follows her bites with a big hug to her victim. She likes to eat, but nice and clean. She likes routine. She likes to push her limits and see how far she can go. She completed our family being the last born(only by seconds) and I think she is the cutest caboose I have ever seen. She is alot like me and I'm excited to see what kind of person she becomes, I love her to pieces and pieces!

FAVORITE SUMMER PHOTOS..

Last Thursday I took the girls to their 15 month appt. They both received 3 shots and we found out that Kyn is lactose intolerant and Kay may have a sensitive stomach to cows milk. The Dr suggested I try soy milk or rice milk and then if those don't work try goats milk. So on Friday I introduced soy milk. It was fine, it didn't seem to bother them and they didn't complain of taste or texture.
On Saturday morning Kay woke up with a red ring around her injection site on her right arm. I thought it was strange and asked my mom what she thought..and we came to the conclusion its probably nothing, those shots can sometimes stay swollen or bruised for a few days afterwards.
Saturday night the ring got spotted, kinda like it was a solid red ring then on the outside of the ring there was red spots...so strange.
Sunday she woke up with hives on her cheeks, shoulders and arms above the elbow. It was Sunday and she wasn't running a fever or acting like it was bothering her so I thought I will wait until Monday to call.
Monday morning She woke with the same hives and it was worse and spreading to her tummy and the tops of her legs on her thighs. So we walked the kids to school and we called when we got home. They wanted us to come immediately and we got there I got to thinking maybe its the soy she is allergic too? The Dr came in and was very concerned about the way she was looking. At that point the hives were every where all down her arms, bottom, feet, back..and so on. He got to looking at her chart and said he didn't believe it to be the soy..because the hives started at the injection site. He came to the conclusion that she is having a severe allergic reaction to the Dtap vaccine. He said this is very rare..as in never happens! He wanted to know if she was having any trouble breathing, or swallowing. I didn't think she had been but I wasn't paying that close of attention..he did his best to listen to her because she was screaming(she doesn't like the drs office). He is contacting an allergist for more information..I have to have her blood drawn and he said..watch her carefully..if the hives are still their then that means her body is still reacting to the vaccine and she could go into anaphylactic shock! He said if we notice anything like that to call 911, do not call the office. We are kinda scared..but I know she will be fine.
I did some research online..it said this happens one every million! It's extremely rare. The online site also said that if allergic reactions to occur, they don't typically occur until the 4th or 5th in the Dtap series..Kay had received her 4th in the series. The Dr. said we won't be giving her the 5th at kindergarten for fear of what might happen.
